This website offers several features for sharing information and communicating with the community. Since the Duck Key community has year round residents, seasonal and part time "snow birds" residents, owners of vacation properties and business properties, this website can serve as a means of bringing the people, businesses, and organizations in the community closer together.

NONCOMMERCIAL FREE POSTINGS - Duck Key Online created this website to provide information about the island community of Duck Key. Information and noncommercial items of community interest are provided freely.

Civic News - You'll find information of a civic nature and of general community interest on the Duck Key Online website. Information from the Duck Key Property Owners' Association , the Duck Key Club, the Duck Key Security Distrtict, and Hurricane impact news is freely presented as a service to the community at large.

MESSAGE BOARD - We have had to remove the interactive element from the community message board because of almost daily submittals by spammers. While we are able to remove these messages they interfere with the workings of the board and may be viewable for hours until we take them down. If you wish your comments and opinions to be read by island residents you can post them by sending e-mail to info@duckkeyonline.com

Community Calendar - This section lists events and activities scheduled within the community. The community calendar which was posted for several years has been eliminated Newsletter - A reminder of "What's New " will be e-mailed to residents periodically. Material of a newsy nature together with material submitted by affinity and interest groups dealing with events and happenings on Duck Key and the Florida Keys will be e-mailed to residents. Provide Duck Key Online with your e-mail address and we will add you to our e-mail list. We will not use your e-mail address for any other purpose other than to send you a reminder to check out "What's New" on Duck Key. If you want to unsubscribe to the Duck Key Community Newsletter at a later date, send us a message to remove your email address from our list. Community Archives - Residents and community groups can post newsletter items, minutes, and other publications on issues of general interest to the Duck Key community.Personal Home Pages - Duck Key residents and property owners with a home page of a noncommercial nature can list their URL and a brief description at no charge in the site's Home Page Index. The cost to have a simple personal home page constructed and hosted on the Duck Key Community site with a www.duckkeyonline.com address is the same as a business page.

 

SERVICES AVAILABLE TO BUSINESS COMMUNITYCommercial entities that benefit financially by providing services to the community are asked to support the development of the community website through their sponsorship and paid advertising. In exchange for sponsoring the community site through a nominal fee each business will be provided with a listing on the Business Index of Community Sponsors plus have the option of having a web page and other access on the community site. Free Classified and Business Listing - Businesses providing services to the Duck Key community may post a simple listing for free from time to time in the Classified and Business Directory. Commercial postings such as news items, special sales and discounts and coupons available to the community will likely be of a short term nature because of the manner in which this interactive page is organized. As items become dated in this section they will be removed.

 Index of Business Community Sponsors - Businesses paying a fee will be listed on the Business Community Sponsor Index identifying them a a sponsor of this community website. The fee for being listed on the Business Community Sponsor Page is $20 a year. This option includes any or all of the following information:

URL Internet link if also have a web page on the community website.
While no photos, logos, or other graphics are included in Community Sponsor index listings, for an additional $5 yearly, a Community Sponsor can be listed on the Business Index page PLUS have their own simple commercial page carried on the Duck Key Online domain . The total $25 yearly fee covers a listing on the Community Sponsors' page plus page construction and placement on Duck Key Online of a simple one page commercial website with text and picture provided by the sponsor.

 

 

SERVICES AVAILABLE TO REALTORSRealtors Sponsors - Realtors will be listed on the Business Index page PLUS have their own simple commercial page hosted on the Duck Key Online domain for the fee schedule outlined above. Separate Realtors Listing - Realtors will also have a simple listing on the Realtors' page provided they have Real Estate Home Listings on the Duck Key Community site. URL Internet links will be included if they also have a web page hosted by Duck Key Online.Real Estate Home Listings- In order to post a simple listing on our home sale page with a short property description, picture and asking price featured on the Duck Key Online website, the home seller or the listing Realtor or broker must pay a $20 fee and provide the written text and photograph. Each listing will identify the Listing Agent and remain on the web until the property is sold.Featured Homes - Should a homeowner or the broker wish to feature a particular home, a three-page website with interior and/or exterior photographs and more extensive descriptive text will be posted for a fee of $35 per home with text and photos provided by seller or broker. Text and photos will be provided by Duck Key Online for an additional fee.

Special Mention and Special Web Pages - Sponsoring businesses may also request construction of special web pages of a commercial nature requiring more complex and time-consuming work . Duck Key Online can assist with special design needs such as creating graphics or digital pictures. As a part of the process Duck Key Online also provide written evaluations of a sponsor's existing site.

 Newsletter - Sponsoring businesses will also be able to advertise promotions as part of the community newsletter.
