A recent news
article reports developer Pritam Singh plans on moving to
Marathon, and is in the process of looking for a house to
live in.
A trust that he is
the beneficiary of has bought the Buccaneer Resort and it
is reported he also is close to buying the Hidden Harbor
Motel and looking at other hotels, as well. Previously
Pritam Singh had purchased the Overseas Motel in Marathon
and gained City approval allowing the transfer of 28
development rights to Hawk's Cay Resort on Duck
Key.
The Keynoter paper
reports,
"Singh said he
believes Marathon is primed to burst out as among the top
destinations in the Keys." and that " he is going to
rebuild the Buccaneer, . . . as a destination resort in
the vein of the luxurious Hawk's Cay."
