MINUTES
OF MEETING - MARCH 17, 1997
The
meeting was called to order at 9:10 by Chairman Bucholtz.
Other members present were Dennis Kulig, Bruce Frank,
Albert Appell and Dick Adler. Also in attendance was Glen
Schofield
SECRETARY'S
REPORT
Minutes
from the November 25, 1996 meeting were distributed and
read. A motion by Albert Appell with a second by Dennis
Kulig to approve the minutes as amended
carried.
CHAIRMAN'S
REPORT
Chairman
Bucholtz reported on matters dealing with the monthly
satellite fee. The monthly fee will remain at $25. with
an additional charge per minute for use.
A
letter from the Sheriff's Department to the Chair on
enforcement efforts in monitoring speeding on Duck Key
during January 6 through 10, 1997 was distributed for
members to read.
The
Chair reported on an inquiry about a lot on West Seaview
Circle with unauthorized trailers on it and his
follow-up.

BUSINESS
Information
on the destruction of the Brown Root mailbox was
provided.
Chairman
Bucholtz went over the proposed Budget for 1997 and the
Contingency Fund with possible projected needs. A motion
by Dick Adler with a second by Albert Appell to recommend
County Commission approval of these items was passed.
Copies of the proposed budget and contingency fund are
attached.
A
motion to recommend reappontment of Dick Holland and Ray
Przybyl for three year terms by the County Commissioner
passed.
Dennis
Kulig questioned procedures to be followed should Duck
Key's residents desire the residential islands become a
private gated community. Fred Bucholtz will pursue the
matter with the Duck Key Property Owners Association.
A
motion was approved to adjourn the meeting.
