Duck Key Villa - French Influence
'St. Pierre', a beautiful two story villa on Duck Key, illustrates the French influence on West Indian architecture. Note the beautiful wrought iron staircase and decorative scrollwork. The soft colour of the Duck Key villas matched with the aged tile roofs imparts the mellow restfulness of the semi-tropical island 95 miles south of Miami."

MESSAGE
BOARD -
We
have had to remove the interactive element from the
community message board because of almost daily
submittals by spammers. While we are able to remove these
messages they interfere with the workings of the board
and may be viewable for hours until we take them down. If
you wish your comments and opinions to be read by island
residents you can post them by sending e-mail to info@duckkeyonline.com
RESIDENT
COMMUNITY
The
site offers island residents a chance to become part of a
single-focused, special-interest online community. The
website offers several features for sharing information
and communicating with the community. Since the Duck Key
community has year round residents, seasonal and part
time "snow birds" residents, owners of vacation
properties and business properties, the power of the
Internet would seem to be an ideal means of bringing the
people, businesses, and organizations in the community
closer together.
Free
web space is offered to individual residents and
nonprofit organizations for disseminating information of
interest to their membership and the community at large.
A community calendar showing scheduled
events and activities, and an archive file for community
publications are resources available for use by the
community.
BUSINESS
COMMUNITY SPONSORS
In
addition to the website's goal of providing residents
with news and information on island goings on, this Duck
Key Online Community website will serve as an interactive
business directory. The site offers businesses a chance
to have a web space with pictures, individual design and
links for a nominal fee. Fees from sponsoring businesses
are used support the development of the community
website.
Information
on Realtors and home sales together with information on
local fishing guides and vacation accommodations
available at Hawk's Cay Resort, the Duck Key Botels, and
the Duck Inn is presently provided on the site.
Business
and commercial entities desiring to be part of the online
community can find out more about listing products and
services by clicking on Free
and Fee Services.
